The Community Empowerment Co-operative Consortium consists of the charity (Community Empowerment Limited) and other not-for-profit organisations, collectively delivering a range of support and training for co-operatives, social enterprises and charities within the UK and for schools & colleges throughout the European Union. We bring together individuals and groups wanting to place power into communities. We give people the tools to take control of their future and that of their communities.

We champion mutual self-help i.e. people supporting each other to achieve shared aims. We help people to improve their employability. We offer a range of courses for those wishing to improve their professional skills and career opportunities.

Our courses for E.U. students include an introduction to the UK marketplace, whether for potential employment within the UK, or employment in other E.U. countries that trade with the UK.



This course is designed for young people who wish to improve their understanding of professional skills in the fields of Advertising and Marketing. Participants will be presented with a theoretical background to the industry and marketplace, and afterwards will be working individually and groups to complete practical tasks. All assignments will be observed by our experienced educators who will be overlooking the learning process and support participants in achieving their educational goals.

Project-based training is an extensive part of this course. Participants will work both individually and in teams to explore practical business administration processes.


Planning marketing campaigns - Working as teams to plan and develop advertising and marketing campaigns.

Understanding media - An awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of media platforms in order to make informed choices.

Understanding the market - Market research and analysis in order to understand the customer base.

The design of advertising - Understanding the limitations of media types.

Public Relations (PR) - Understanding of PR campaigns and practice designed to meet objectives.
